METFIN AD 01

 

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Metfin AD01 is a high performance detergent additive specifically formulated to enhance the degreasing capability of iron phosphate conversion products. It may also be used to extend the soil removal capability of a wide range of acidic cleaning solutions.

 

Metfin AD01 may be added to hydrochloric acid pickling solutions for effective degreasing of mild steel in the galvanising industry. The foaming tendency of Metfin AD01 is low during the pickling of steel. However it is advisable to avoid using Metfin AD01 in strong acid solutions where quantities of Zinc coated jigs or parts are stripped as excessive foam will be generated.

pH - 8

Foaming tendency - Low at working concentrations.

Effect on metals - suitable for use on all metals.

 

TYPICAL OPERATING PARAMETERS

AD 01 is added to acidic or alkaline cleaners to improve performance.

Concentration - 0.1 - 0.5% v/v.

 

STORAGE AND HANDLING

Store in a cool, dry place away from foodstuffs. Keep containers closed when not in use.
